About Sanctuary Within
Welcome. You're here because there's a stirring within you, calling you into a place of finding yourself.
You're a daughter, a friend, a wife, a mother, a coworker, but the space to find "you," for you, has been hard to come by.
We believe a woman needs a container, a Sanctuary that holds you in your journey of being and becoming. A place to melt down and reform, just as the caterpillar needs the chrysalis in the becoming of the butterfly.
Sanctuary Within is that place. It's the external container that holds you as you come back into presence within yourself. A place to dance, sing, cry, read, dream, to be inspired and to heal.
Sanctuary Within offers solo stays, for one woman at a time.
A chance to fall in love with yourself. A chance to simply be.

Absolutely stunning little location. I felt my nervous system relax within a few hours of just sitting and watching the fantails. They really have thought of everything with this space. From journals you can use, scrapbooking materials, teas to try, manicure and pedicure materials. It’s such a peaceful and quiet place. I journaled for hours in the sunshine. Loved all of it.

What you're coming into
Your Sanctuary has been intentionally prepared for solitude and relaxation with invitations for personal exploration. It offers simple comforts and quiet surroundings, without excess or distraction.

Your Sanctuary is not a standard Airbnb stay. Sanctuary Within gives you tools for exploration and invitations for self care, set up around one purpose: helping you come back to yourself.
Checkout is different too. A standard Airbnb usually has a 10am checkout and a 3pm check in, leaving a long gap in between for cleaning and reset.
Sanctuary Within checkout is at 12pm and check in is at 2pm.
Your Sanctuary includes
- A private area for one person.
- A manicure set and nail files.
- Journals you are invited to take with you.
- Crafting supplies for vision boards.
- Herbal teas, a small mindfulness ritual.
- An exercise mat with information on somatic exercises.
- Full bathroom facilities. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap are provided.
- A queen sized bed, please bring your own linen (queen flat sheet, queen fitted sheet, pillowcases) and towels (including tea towel and bath mat).
- A light kitchenette including hobs with a pot and a pan, fridge, basic utensils, a toaster, blender and jug are available.
- We recommend basic meals, such as eggs on toast, smoothies, fruit / cheese platters. Greytown and Martinborough are only a 10 minute drive away if you'd like to dine out or pick something up.
- Cleaning products and clear checklists.
Some Q's and A's
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: A change of clothes, your favourite foods, linen (queen sheet set and pillowcases), towels, including hand towel and tea towel, and anything else that brings you comfort.
Q: Is this like a group retreat?
A: No. This isn't a group retreat. This is your Sanctuary, your solo escape to do exactly what you need.
Q: How do you guarantee that each Sanctuary is left in good condition for the next guest?
A: Every Sanctuary comes with simple, foolproof cleaning steps and all the supplies you need; sprays, wipes, the works. But here's the thing: we know our women show up responsibly. You take care of yourself, you take care of the space. Follow the steps, leave it fresh, welcoming and ready for the next woman to walk in and claim her own slice of calm. It's that simple and we trust you to nail it.
Q: Is there wifi or phone service?
A: There is basic cellphone connectivity, no wifi is supplied. You're lovingly encouraged to disconnect. This is a chance to step away from the noise and back into yourself.
